This is our primary information gathering time. To begin with we like to get to know you and your business. Then, if the industry is not well known by our developer, we will research the business, competitors, target markets, etc. At the same time we gather your project requirements, goals, ideas, and timeline.  From here we start to develop a sitemap and an SEO strategy. Before we start the design process we like to go through all the plans with you, the client. “Measure twice, cut once” is a motto we like to keep in mind during this process.

The first step of the design process is to create a wireframe of your website including all pages that will be required. Once we get the wireframe approved we design a mockup of the site, in most cases. During this time we also discuss color schemes, typography, and imagery with you.

After the designs are confirmed we then start the development and construction of the website or design project. This is the lengthiest of the steps, and other than a few possible questions and periodic status updates along the way, you probably won’t hear from us as often. Here we transform the mock-ups into functional and responsive websites and designs. Testing, code hardening, and thorough security protocols are established and put in place during this step as well.

Now the exciting part happens! We get to show you and the rest of the world what our combined hard work has accomplished. This only happens after extensive testing and you are happy with the outcome of the project. Once we move your site from our development and test server to our live production servers we continue testing to ensure everything looks accurate and works as intended across all browsers and devices. A key thing to remember about the launch stage is that it’s nowhere near the end of the project.

This step is just as important as any of the others. After launching a website, maintenance is always going to be required and important for the long-term health and success of your project. This could be anything from user experience tweaks to zero day security patches. We are constantly monitoring our servers, updating our operating systems and firewalls to ensure your site stays safe for you and your visitors. This also involves various content management and module updates, as necessary, as well as backups.
